Alamosa Blanket

1 item left

The Navajo tell of the first beings, Air-Spirit People, who emerged in the First World.  There, a red island held the Insect People and a dwelling called House of Red Rock.  In the blanket's center, blue streams converge, then flow toward each of the sacred Four Directions.  Woven at Pendleton's US mills and made in the USA.  Reverses for a different look.

This blanket is made only in Robe size (64" x 80"), the size preferred by Native Americans for gifting and ceremonial purposes.  A Robe size blanket fits a twin or full-size bed, and works well as a throw, a wearable wrap, wall hanging, or folded at the foot of a bed.
