Foerster Boxlock, Foerster was a master gunsmith and held a Royal Warrant and was a supplier to the Royal Court of Carl von Preussen, 16 Bore, 6lbs. 2 oz., 27 1/2" (70cm) fluid steel barrels, 2 3/4" chambers, machined concave game rib with "W. Foerster Hofbuchsenmacher (translates to gunmaker to the court) Berlin" engraved, special Krupp steel logos engraved into top of tubes, Briley thin-wall chokes installed, extractor, scalloped boxlock action carved and scalloped fences, sideclips, Greener cross-bolt, action scroll engraved, case hardened, trigger guard engraved with a crest, top-tang automatic safety with "FREI" in gold, double triggers with front being articulated, nice straight grained European walnut stock, round knob grip, splinter forend with horn tip, 1 1/2" DAC, 2 1/8" DAH, 3 1/6" cast off, 14 1/2" LOP over a pad, vacant gold stock oval, condition is excellent with whole gun having been recently restored including stock finish, recut checkering, barrel black, and re-case hardened by Doug Turnbull.  Show only a couple very minor handling marks in the stock since restoration.  Bores are spot on at .662 and barrel walls are .030 both.
