Boxlock Ejector .333 Jeffery Flanged

W.J. Jeffery & Co. Ltd. Boxlock Ejector Double Rifle, circa 1932, .333 Jeffery Flanged, 9 lbs. 3 oz., original 24" fluid steel chopper lump barrels with dolls head rib extension, engraved rib with one quarter rib raised with one standing rear sight marked "100" and four folding leaves marked "200, 300, 400, and 500", raised ramp front sight with standing blade and folding low light ivory bead, bottom rib sling swivel, barrels engraved on top right tube "W.J. Jeffery & Co. Ltd" and on the top left tube "9 Golden Square Regent St. London W.I.", barrel flats London Nitro proof marked "Cordite 40 1/2 - 300 Max", ejectors, boxlock action engraved on both sides with Tiger game scenes along with maker's name, removable disc-set strikers, non-automatic safety, double triggers, straight grained English walnut stock with good checkering, 14 3/4" LOP over a Silvers pad, vacant stock oval, pistol grip, splinter forend with A&D push button release. Excellent mechanical condition rifle with barrels showing excellent bores and rifling.  The ejectors were just serviced and timed and function fine. The action is tight and on face.  The rifle shows typical bumps and bruises on surfaces from it's days in the field.  I only see a couple of dings in the wood and the checkering is fairly fresh so it's probably been recut somewhere along the years I'd guess.  Barrel black is good with some thinning on the right side of the right barrel and the breech and at the edge of the muzzle on the right side likely from handling or case wear.  The bottom of the action has a few dings and shows some marks likely from riding in a rack in the field.  The bottom of the barrels have some typical light scattered pits under the forend.  The forend wood has a small amout of fill on the left back edge.  All in all, this old girl is in pretty good shape for her 86 years and should give another lifetime of use to someone.  Comes with 26 rounds handloaded in Bertram Brass along with 5 rounds of fired brass.
