The original CC de France was built for and named after a competition in which J.J. Hardy of Hardy Bros. was to compete in. In 1910, armed with his 7' CC de France which he had designed and built in the Alnwick factory for the event, J.J. Hardy entered and won his section in the Casting Club de France competition. Upon returning to England, he put his rod design into production and was released for sale in 1911. This limited edition anniversary rod was based on J.J. Hardy's very own original 7' rod he used in that 1910 competition. Only 25 of these rods will be made.
