This zip-front cardigan features Pendleton's iconic 1923 Harding design front and back. Knit from naturally water-resistant , machine-washable super soft Shetland wool sourced from New Zealand, it has a shawl neck, side hand pockets, and a leather zipper pull tab. This version features a more subtle tonal navy and blue rendition of their Harding design.
In 1923, President Warren Harding and his wife Florence came west to dedicate a portion of the old Oregon Trail. At the ceremony, local chiefs presented the first lady with a Pendleton shawl inspired by their famous Chief Joseph blanket. This dynamic design was an instant hit and remains in production today in their blankets, apparel, and bags.
