Mod., 15 1/8" LOP over a leather pad, 1 1/2" DAC, 2 3/8" DAH, 1/8" cast off for RH shooter, 7 lbs., ejectors, double triggers, straight grip, splinter forend, smooth concave game rib, barrel tubes engraved "Stephen Grant & Sons" and "7 Bury Street, St. James's, London, England", automatic safety, "Safe" in gold, typical best Grant scroll engraving pattern, fluted fences, drop points, originally no. 2 of a pair and marked in all the typical places "2". Comes in a maker's labeled case added when the barrels were made in 1961 that shows the maker's label just prior to Atkin being added to the name and includes some case accessories. Bores measure .732 and .734, min. wall thickness .028 and .026. Excellent condition gun showing well kept finishes, sharp engraving, minor handling marks and a couple of professionally repaired minor cracks, and previous owner's initials in stock oval. Circa 1888.
