Browning Superposed Lightning Grade I, Belgian made circa 1985, after Browning ceased production of the Superposed in 1976, they renewed production of the grade I for three years beginning in 1983 with limited manufacturing, these guns have all of the mechanical improvements of the 1970s guns including mechanical triggers and re-introduced the round knob with long tang. This Lightning model has the fully rounded action like the Superlight, 20 Bore, 6 lbs. 7 oz., 28" barrels barrels with machined low height vent rib, 3" chambers, chokes marked Mod. and Full, chokes measure .015 Mod. and .028 Full, ejectors, boxlock action with extra Grade I scroll engraving with "Lightning" on bottom of action, top tang mounted non-automatic safety, single selective gold trigger, long trigger guard, European select walnut stock, 14 1/4" LOP over the Browning butt plate, 1 3/8" DAC, 2 3/16" DAH, 1/8" cast off, round knob grip. Remains in very near new, possibly unfired condition with original box, top lever well right, action very tight to open, no barrel blue loss from forend slide opening action, showing only the slightest of possible handling. Box in good condition with labels intact on end. Browning records show it was originally sold new in March of 1986.
