Charles Lancaster "Twelve-Twenty" Sidelock Ejector, circa 1927, 12 Bore on a 20 Bore action built on the 1913 Baker patent, self-opener, 5 lbs. 14.5 oz., 2 1/2" chambers, 3 Tons London nitro proof, 28" replacement barrels by Atkin, Grant, & Lang post 1954. Lancaster was purchased by Atkin, Grant, & Lang in 1933. Barrel tubes engraved "Charles Lancaster" and "7 Bury Street, St. James's, London, England", smooth concave game rib with breech end engraving and "1" in gold, barrels choked .009 IC and .014 Light Mod., action engraved in English rose and scroll pattern with "Charles Lancaster" on sides and "Charles Lancaster London" in gold on bottom of action, showing about 80% case colors, double triggers, top slide safety with "Safe" in gold, stocked to the fences in English walnut with drop points, stock oval with initials "AW", 14 1/2" LOP over a 3/4" leather covered pad, 1 1/2" DAC, 1 7/8" DAH, 1/8" cast off, "1" in gold also on forend and top lever, originally no. 1 of a matched pair. Excellent, well cared for condition showing only minor handling marks. Recently gone through and all tuned up by J.J. Perodeau at Champlin Arms. Bores .731 and .730, min. barrel wall thickness .022 and .020. A superb light game gun.
