The new Douglas SKY-G made from the new G-Tec material is 10x stronger than steel with only 5% of its density.  This material allows for less material to be used and in turn, equates to lighter blanks, increased sensitivity and an improved swing weight.  The Sky-G's properties in strength increase it's durability, dampening, and recovery allowing for superior accuracy.  The new Sky-G is the winner in the 2020 5 weight rod shootout as the best overall presentation rod.
