Gebruder Merkel, Suhl Germany, 2000EL Boxlock Ejector, 28 Bore, 6 lbs. 10 oz., nitro proved 70mm (2 3/4") chambers, 68 cm (26 3/4") Krupp steel barrels with a solid machined game rib, double Kersten lock extensions, ejectors, front beads, choked .013 Mod. and .023 Full, left rear of barrels engraved with maker "Gebr Merkel, Suhl, Made in Germany", scalloped back boxlock action with double Kersten cross-bolt locks, top-tang non-automatic safety, selectable single trigger, silver finish with some scroll engraving, nicely figured European walnut stock with pistol grip and 3-piece forend, 14 1/8" LOP over factory butt plate, 1 3/8" DAC, 2 7/16" DAH, 1/8" cast off for right hand shooter. Excellent condition gun showing very little use and only minor handling marks. Comes with maker's leather trunk case. This model was made between 1998 and 2005.
