John Dickson Round Action Triggerplate, circa 1904, 12 bore, 2 1/2" chambers, 27" sleeved barrels done in England in 1969 and reproved at 3 Tons, choked .002 Cyl. and .020 Mod., original rib engraved "John Dickson & Son, 63 Princes Street, Edinburgh", 6 lbs. 7 oz., 15" LOP over leather pad, 1 1/2" DAC, 2 3/16" DAH, 1/8" cast off, finely detailed full coverage English scroll engraving with slight softening and with "John Dickson & Son, Patent" in a banner on sides of action, straight grip, splinter forend, double triggers, original ejector model showing two screws on side of action, vacant gold oval in stock, nicely figured walnut, originally no. 1 of a pair and inlaid in gold "1" on toplever, rib, and forend, automatic safety with "SAFE" in gold, patent use number "1020" making it the 1020th round action made, a nice condition gun having been restored with a new oil finish, checkering recut, and new black, gun has just a hint of looseness. Bores: right .729, left .731; minimum barrel wall thickness right .022, left .024. Gun no. 5521.
