Francotte Sideplated Boxlock, later period circa 1976, 20 Bore, 5 lbs. 12 oz., 2 3/4" chambers, Churchill 25" barrels with concave hand file cut game rib with dual ivory beads, choked Cyl. and Cyl., tubes engraved "Auguste Francotte" and "Brevet E Liege", sideplated boxlock action finely engraved in English scroll work, single trigger, finely checkered English walnut stock with straight grip, semi-beavertail forend and 14 3/4" LOP over a 3/4" pad, 1 1/2" DAC, 2" DAH, 1/8" cast on for left hand shooter, drop points, A&D forend release, gold stock oval with original owner's initials. Excellent condition gun showing only minor use and handling, about 97% original condition. These later period guns show very fine work and were quite expensive. When Francotte closed operations in 1989 this model new cost close to $20,000.
